What it does
Mask real work before it reaches AI tools.
Works with common business files
Process Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CSV, TXT, Markdown, JSON and log files. Formatting such as tables, headings, colors, speaker notes and headers is preserved where supported.
Restore values when you are done
Sanitizr writes a separate private key file on your Mac. After an AI assistant returns a response, use the Un-mask tool to put the real values back.
Local by design
Your files stay inside the macOS App Sandbox.
1. Choose your documents
Select supported files with the standard macOS file picker. Sanitizr stages them inside its sandbox and never sends their contents to our servers.
2. Mask and clean locally
Sensitive values are replaced with clear labels. Supported Office metadata, comments and revision information are removed from a separate exported copy.
3. Keep the restore key private
Each successful run creates a separate CSV restoration key on your Mac. Never upload that key to an AI service or share it with anyone else.
Privacy model
Your documents stay on your Mac.
Sanitizr does not collect, store, transmit or share the contents of the files you process, the values that are masked or your un-mask key files. There is no document telemetry, analytics or advertising.
For the optional Pro upgrade, Apple StoreKit is used to load product information, complete or restore a purchase, and check entitlement status. Those requests never include documents, masked values, custom words or restoration keys.
